Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered eligible for study abroad:

Completed at least 24 credit hours at FSU
Maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
Be in good standing according to the University's Code of Conduct

The process for applying to study abroad is two-part. The CIE Study Abroad Application is used to approve students for study abroad participation, then students will apply directly to their program of choice.

Personal Essay

Submit a personal essay explaining why you want to study abroad. Answer the following questions in your essay:

Describe how this program fits into your overall academic requirements as well as your personal goals.
Have you previously studied/worked/traveled abroad?
What languages do you speak and at which level?
What are you currently doing to prepare to go abroad?
How do you plan to use your study abroad experience after you return to campus?
How will this experience help you in the future with your career?
